About Us

I founded the bProud programme with the ambition to make organisations be proud of themselves and for their employees to be proud to work for them.

As a now openly gay man, I spent the first 12 years of my professional career hiding my sexuality and did not ‘come out’ to my colleagues and clients until my early 30’s. So I know first-hand what it feels like not to be able to be your true self at work.

Many people I talk to now assume the situation has changed and such things would not happen today whether that be in the work environment or life in general. Sadly they do but by introducing programmes such as bProud we can all play our part in making change happen.

My background in professional services is as a chartered accountant where my career path has taken me through all aspects and sizes of a multitude of businesses. Most recently, I led my last firm’s diversity, inclusion and wellbeing programme and I was head of the firm’s internal ‘Better Place to Work’ initiative.

Having recently left my partner position at a leading accountancy firm, I now concentrate on working with other organisations to assist them to introduce diversity & inclusion and wellbeing programs for their own teams.
